Here's the deal, Higher Heights cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. Higher Heights is a family of individuals that have found hope in Jesus, and simply want as many people as possible to experience that exact same freedom.

We are a growing evangelical community based church. Our aim is to reach the needy by sharing God's love, forgiveness and compassion, provide a healthy atmosphere for friends and family, and to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.. We are committed to sharing God's Word through preaching, teaching and conversation, and by sharing God's Love through support and service within our community.

We welcome everyone who come through our doors as we worship, pray and support one another. Our Sunday messages are meant to help nurture and grow our personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour by challenging and encouraging us.

Higher Heights Christian Fellowship, originally named Gravel Pit Gospel Mission, was founded by Evangelist John W. Callery in 1955. Evangelist Callery started the ministry through house to house gospel services - later to build a church among a series of gravel pits - and on Highway 11, north of South River (now known as Hwy 124). Evangelist John W. Callery was laid to rest on August 21, 1986 - and his vision, ministry and work continued.

In 2000, the name of the Church was changed to Higher Heights Christian Fellowship. In 2004, the church building was put up for sale and a new building was purchased in South River, where we are currently located. The new Church building was officially opened in 2008. After extensive renovations, what was a previous grocery store is now a beautiful place of worship and is an outreach to our community.

We are headed towards pursuing Jesus and growing together to expand our walls and reach the community. We believe the Church's greatest days are just around the corner and we are awaiting an outpouring of the Holy Spirit to bring revival to South River and the surrounding region as we step into our kingdom mandate. We anticipate the days of a greater outpouring of signs, wonders and miracles, experiencing the days of "the knowledge of the glory of the Lord" being seen around the world.
